Media Coordinator

Kogarah Community Services Inc is dedicated to our local community by providing support, information, education and services that enhance quality of life to our local community. We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic volunteer for the position of Media Coordinator to coordinate the media activities for our Community Centre.
Based at our Head Office in South Hurstville you will report to the Community Network Coordinator, and will undertake various duties including: -
- Compiling information on local and state events to coordinate an events media calendar for Kogarah Community Services
- Draft and create media release templates
- Build relationships with local media contacts including radio and newspaper
- Create a database for local media contacts
- Write up media and press releases
- Support us in writing a media and communication strategic plan
Essentially, you will demonstrate experience in:
- Qualifications in marketing communications, media and or journalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills|
- Strong computer skills
- Good eye for detail
